Dispatch Automations
Introducing the Dispatch Automations feature on YourWatchTower. You can now schedule dispatches on a daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly basis, allowing for an automated workflow that saves time and enhances efficiency.
This guide will help you understand how to set up and use this feature.
Why Use Dispatch Automations?
Dispatch Automations help streamline your workflow by automating the process of dispatching. This feature is especially useful for recurring tasks that need to be dispatched on a regular schedule. It eliminates the need for manual dispatching, saving you time and reducing the possibility of error. It can also act as a reminder for recurring calls like patrol, condition reports, ect..
Creating an Automatic Dispatch
Follow these steps to create an automatic dispatch:
- Go to Dispatch page
- Go to the 'Auto Call' tab.
- Click on 'Create Automatic Dispatch'.
- Fill out the necessary information for the dispatch.
- Select the frequency at which you want the dispatch to occur: daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly.
- Click 'Save' to create the automatic dispatch.
Pausing an Automatic Dispatch
To pause an automatic dispatch:
- Go to the 'Dispatch' section.
- Find the dispatch automation you want to pause.
- Click on the switch icon
- Confirm that you want to pause the dispatch automation.
This will pause the automation from running until turned back on.
Archiving an Automatic Dispatch
To delete an automatic dispatch:
- Go to the 'Dispatch' section.
- Find the dispatch automation you want to delete.
- Click on the trash icon
- Confirm that you want to delete the dispatch automation.
Tips
- Currently automations run no matter what is in the queue
- Make sure you are managing your automations or the queue can fill up
- Dispatches are created without units assigned, so make sure you have a unit assigned to the call
